Despite the pandemic, women of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League–Canada have managed to find many ways to serve others. Leading up to the triennial national convention they have been encouraged to share pictures of what Christ has accomplished through them.
VERNON, B.C. – One of our annual, local missions projects is called the “mitten tree project.” We invite the congregation to participate and contribute mittens, socks, toques and scarves. Then we sort and divide them into 5-7 boxes. We deliver the boxes of winter warmth to local groups/societies who help folks in need. (Teen Junction, half-way house for men and women, Salvation Army, John Howard Society, a clinic for street people, etc.
