Despite the pandemic, women of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League–Canada have managed to find many ways to serve others. Leading up to the triennial national convention they have been encouraged to share pictures of what Christ has accomplished through them.
RICHMOND, B.C. – Our LWMLC society at Trinity Lutheran Church is part of the Vancouver Zone. One of the Mission Service projects we chose was to provide six Emergency Care Kits to the Richmond Emergency Shelter run by the Salvation Army. A card with scripture was placed in each Care Kit. They house 10-20 women and 30-45 men depending on the time of year. When asked what their need was at the shelter, they gave us a list. We plan towork on that this fall.
Another Mission Service project chosen was sending THANK YOU cards to essential services and businesses expressing thanks for their diligence in keeping us and our community safe. Notes of thanks were hand written inside.
