Still Singing Those Christmas Songs
I have always loved the Christmas season with the decorations, preparations, and most of all the music. Listening to Christmas music has always relaxed me and it made driving in rush hour traffic tolerable. When we watched our granddaughters, I always sang to them before their naps or at bedtime when they had a sleepover and a few years ago, when they had a sleepover before Christmas, I sang “Away in a Manager.” They loved it and it is now the final song I sing to them before they go to sleep at every sleepover no matter what time of year. It’s a beautiful lullaby and the third verse is a wonderful prayer for the girls to take to sleep. It may no longer be the Christmas season, but I’ll keep singing those Christmas songs.
