CELEBRATING FATHERS
Are you blessed with an earthly father? Perhaps you are blessed to have a stepfather, father-in-law, grandfather, or other mentor in your life. I was blessed with an earthly father who was called home far too soon for me to fully appreciate him. I treasured my father-in-law later in life. I look forward to the great celebration in heaven when we meet again.
How did you celebrate your father this year? Were you able to meet and reminisce and share great memories? Was it only a phone call to share your love? Perhaps distance separated celebrating in person, or your relationship needs mending.Regardless of your experience here on earth with your father, you can praise God, for He has made us His sons and daughters and has chosen specifically to be our Father, always. 2 Corinthians 6:18 (ESV) assures us “and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
We celebrate our Heavenly Father with gratitude every day. He loves us and is a perfect Father who grants us wisdom, cares for us and protects us. Let’s gather around God’s Word and celebrate Him every day. Let’s be sure to tell others about the great things our Triune God has done in our life. To God be the glory, always.
