Word Search
Do you like to do word searches? Both my Mom and Mother in law enjoyed doing word searches and I do too. They said doing word searches helped to keep their brains active. Not only did they do the word searches that were in the daily newspaper, but we bought them both many books of word searches that they worked on each day.
But word searches weren’t the only words they both did each day. Most important to both of these women was spending time in the “Word” each day. They spent time searching God’s Word each day, whether it was in the morning or in the evening. They found comfort in reading their bible no matter what was happening in their lives and they turned to it regularly.
When my Mom passed away, the funeral home put a word search on the back of her memorial card and each of the words searched words described Mom’s interests including her faith. Everyone enjoyed doing one last word search in Mom’s memory.
Whether you like to do crossword puzzles, sudoku, or word searches, don’t forget to take some time to spend in God’s Word. May your “Word” search help you to continue to grow and strengthen your faith.
