13 Rules for Life

13 Rules for Life

We all need a boost sometimes in our life journey. Playing on recent “rules for life,” here are some to encourage you in your Christian walk.

1. Read your Bible.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
2. Pray every day.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (James 5:16).
3. Love God, love your neighbour.
The greatest commandment (Mark 12:30).
4. Laugh out loud.
A joyful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22).
5. Take a nap.
The Lord gives to His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).
6. Get outside in the sunshine.
“I’ll be a sunbeam for Him” (SONG).
7. Take a walk in the rain.
“I saw raindrops on my window. Joy is like the rain” (SONG).
8. Have a grateful heart.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).
9. Sing out loud.
Shout, and sing for joy…for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 12:6).
10. Go to church.
…not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some (Hebrews 10:25).
11. Visit someone who is lonely.
as you did it to one of the least … you did it to me (Matthew 25:40).
12. Forgive someone who has hurt you.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors (Matthew 6:12).

13. Watch and pray.
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour (Matthew 25:13).
