My Heart Dances…for Joy!
“Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp” (Psalm 149:3 KJV).
Spring has finally come; we sing in our hearts.
New life is blooming all around us, birds are singing, making their nests.
Snowbanks are receding and warmer days increasing.
How could our hearts not dance with Joy! Fall is my favourite time of the year, but spring fills me with the wonder of the newness of life!
A short time ago we sang with thanksgiving,“He Is Risen.” The Easter story offers hope of eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and the ultimate victory over death – He Is Risen Indeed!
It has been said that dancing before the Lord can be a powerful form of worship, praise, and celebration, allowing us to express our joy and gratitude for God’s blessings to us.
So, whether it’s a waltz, a polka, a gentle first wedding dance or just swaying to that favourite song playing on the radio, rejoice in all the happiness and blessings it brings…Amen!
“Dance is the purest expression of every emotion, earthly and spiritual.” – Anna Pavlova, one of the most famous and influential ballerinas of all time
