Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
Are we always cheerful when we give?
Are we sometimes resentful or giving because we think we haveto give?
I sometime think of what non-Christians have, I think if I didn’t have to give to the Church or LWML-C Mites I would have more so I could enjoy my life more. I’m not cheerful when I think like this.
Then I remember what God has given to me…I lack nothing and have everything I need.
God has blessed me in more ways than I could have everimagined!
I am especially thankful when I remember that God sent His one and only son to the Cross to pay for my sins and offers forgiveness for my downfalls…even my resentfulness about my giving.
I pray “God give me a Loving and Giving heart so that I can make a God pleasing decision about my giving” …and God does give me a loving and giving heart so I can support our Mission Projects, not reluctantly or under compulsion but with what I have decided in my Heart to give.
Praying he will guide you in your cheerful giving!
