O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!

As Canadians “standing on guard” we declare our patriotism and citizenship to Canada. In these following Bible verses God’s grace is revealed to strengthen us to “stand on guard”, ready to share the hope that is ours in Christ Jesus to our neighbors.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24–26
In the study notes for these three verses, the message of the Trinity was pointed out. Here is a prayer for each of us as we celebrate our earthly home and look forward in hope and joy to our eternal home: God, the Father bless you and keep you; God, the Son make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; God, the Holy Spirit lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen.
