Sometimes I Feel Like an Eeyore

Sometimes I feel like an Eeyore

Do you ever feel like an Eeyore? Sad, depressed, no hope, can’t do that, it won’t succeed, why bother. Doom and gloom. Are you currently responding to a situation with negativity? Me: guilty. Yet when I read the Bible, especially the Psalms, it talks about our enemies who suppress us but then the psalmist always says, ‘but my hope is in you, O Lord. I trust in You.”

So, when you face something that seems hopeless, shake off the Eeyore mentality and put your trust in the Lord. He will never do you harm.  (Jeremiah 29:11) The hard things in life can strengthen us and deepen our faith and trust in the Lord to see us through the difficulty. When we get to the other side, we usually see that it wasn’t us but the Lord upholding us as He promised.  Psalm 27:14 says, “be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” So take heart, my sisters in the Lord. Jesus says, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
