Is Anyone Listening?

Is Anyone Listening?

Each day I see signs starting everywhere, the countdown to Spring!

Today I noticed for the first time that the day was getting longer, the sun stayed a little longer. Was anyone noticing?

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14 NIV),

Winter often leaves us a little less active, many travel to warmer climates, others bundle in their warm homes isolating until, like the groundhog, it’s okay to come out.

We are social beings! This is a perfect time to reach out to each other. Start a groupsewing for missions, a book club, a teacup group (or go for coffee), a telephone ministry. With a small devotion, let each other know there is Someone out there who is listening.

God is always leaving little signs that He is always with us – a beautiful sunset, a sunshine on the coldest day of the year. Now we need to let each other know we are there too. Make that call, do the visit, reach out! The best activity is a spontaneous one.

I can promise you that voice in your head will be singing, “What a friend we have in Jesus.“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer (LSB 770).

sorry if it won’t go away!
