Kleenex in the Wash

Kleenex in the Wash

Ugh! I did it again. How did I miss that tissue in my pocket? I checked every one or so I thought, right? Wrong! The evidence was on the clothes; bits of tissue I had to shake off as I hung everything out to dry. It reminded me of my sin. I miss that one sin; jealously judging another or selfish thoughts and it spreads all over me just like those little bits of Kleenex.

It can only be shaken off by confession, repentance and forgiveness; confession to God and one another, repenting before the altar in communion, forgiveness from my Savior as the words of my Pastor states. “Depart in peace. Your sins are forgiven.”

Jesus died a painful death for our sins so that we might have forgiveness. Our gracious and loving Father always stands ready to forgive.

And remember to check all the pockets for Kleenex before you do your laundry!
