Angels Messengers of God

Angels Messengers of God

I am currently reading a book called Angels by Billy Graham. It talks about the several types of Angels and the different jobs they have. Three angels are named in the Bible, Lucifer, the fallen angel who took many other angels with him and so began humankind’s downfall. There is Micheal, he is God’s messenger of law and judgement. In Revelation12:7-12 he is leading the armies that battle Satan. The angel who we are most familiar with is Gabriel, who appears to Daniel to announce the end times, Daniel 8: 15-16. He appears to Zacharias announcing the birth of John the Baptist, his most important appearance is to Mary announcing the incarnation of God, and then Joseph informing him of his significant role of protecting Mary and the coming birth of Jesus.

There are thousand of angels with varying jobs but what I discovered in reading this book angels though messengers were not given the job of proclaiming the gospel. That important job was given to the church, you and I, to proclaim the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ, who took upon himself all the sins of world, to be sacrificed on the cross that all believers can have eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Jesus wants all humankind to be saved, so He commands us believers to deliver that message because we know that peace of God that surpasses all understanding that keeps our hearts and minds in the one true faith unto life everlasting.

The national convention theme “Go and Tell” based on Mark 16:15  And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.” Will be focusing on this very command. Let us “Go and Tell.”
