Medical Missions

A  number of items, including a folded 4″ x 4″ gauze bandage and rolled bandages from sheets, are welcomed by Medical Missions, a program run by the Ontario District of LWML–Canada, Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) and no doubt other organizations. You may also inquire at local hospitals and clinics to see if they would like these folded bandages.

To make approximately 450 folded bandages the cost will include $95 for a bolt of gauze (address to purchase included on instruction sheet). Shipping costs vary. Packages for Medical Missions are sent to Ontario and they appreciate a donation ($40-$50) to ship them overseas to Lutheran hospitals in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Malappuram Welfare Centre in Kerala, India and to many Bible translators in New Guinea and Africa. Home Hardware delivers items free of charge to CLWR in Winnipeg but, again, a donation toward the costs of shipping overseas would be appreciated.
