Projects selected to receive mission grants 2018-2021
Delegates set the mission grant goal for 2018-2021 at $130,000.
The Mission Opportunity Fund is a permanent feature and delegates chose to fund it with 20% of the total goal ($26,000).
The following list is ordered by the number of votes received. As usual, since that may not be the order in which the recipients are ready to use the funds, the grants will be paid in the order of requests received from those to be funded.
Circuit rider transportation, Atlantic Canada – $15,000
Mission and ministry projects, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Moncton, N.B. – $15,000
Regional VBS teams, remote congregations – $24,000
National Youth Gathering, Lutheran Church-Canada – $5,000
Rancheria feeding and education program, Nicaragua – $12,600
Evangelism course outreach, CLTS, St. Catharines – $5,000
Technology upgrade, Zion Lutheran Christian School, Prince George, B.C. – $10,500

These totals will continue to grow as money continued to be received during the convention and hadn’t yet been counted.

Before the convention—
• Do read over the Business Bulletin that will come to your society and consult with your LWMLC sisters for their thoughts prior to convention.
• Do remember to pack your Bible.
• Do bring items for the Gifts of Love ingathering.
At the convention—
• Do read the convention manual.
• Do sit in your designated seat. Only those in this area will receive ballots for voting.
• Do turn off your cell phone during meetings.
• Do arrive on time for all activities.
• Do talk to at least five new people.
• Do check out the exhibits.
• Do visit the LWMLC store.
• Do make notes to help you report to your society when you return home.
• Do take photos to remember the great memories made.
• Do plan to stay until the end of the convention.
